With the Heckert X90, Starrag pushes this boundary further. For the first time, a compact horizontal machining center from the Heckert X series can machine workpieces weighing up to 2,000 kg and measuring up to 1,600 mm in diameter.
With standard 800 × 1,000 mm pallets, generous travel distances, and a workpiece height of 1,000 mm, the Heckert X90 extends the X series into a higher performance class. For the first time, the proven machine concept of this series is also available for workpieces of this size, combining this new scale with the proven dynamics and precision of a compact horizontal machining center.
Large chip volumes place high demands on chip evacuation. The kinematics of the Heckert X90 actively support this process: by tilting the workpiece, chips can be directed out of the working area. Hot chips leave the working area quickly, significantly reducing heat buildup, chip accumulation, and the risk of subsequent issues. The result is stable processes and longer tool life.
Like all machines in the X series, the Heckert X90 features an integrated tilting rotary table, short force paths, and a rigid machine structure. This enables the cost-effective complete machining of complex workpieces in as few setups as possible. Large tool magazines, short non-productive times, and a wide range of automation options make the Heckert X90 a high-performance solution for demanding manufacturing tasks.
